Electronic Records & Signature Disclosure

Last updated: July 8, 2026

When you sign a document through BizSign, you agree to do business electronically with the party that sent it. This disclosure explains what that means, consistent with the US ESIGN Act and UETA.

Your consent

By ticking the consent box in the signing flow and adopting a signature, you agree that your electronic signature has the same legal effect as a handwritten one, and that records related to the transaction may be provided to you electronically.

Paper copies

You can download a copy of every document you sign from the completion screen and the completion email, at no charge. If you need a paper copy and cannot print one, ask the sender of the document or contact us and we'll provide one.

Withdrawing consent

You may decline to sign electronically at any point before completing a document — use the “Decline” option in the signing screen or contact the sender to arrange a paper process instead. Declining electronic signing does not affect documents you have already signed.

Hardware and software you need

  • A device with a current web browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari).
  • An internet connection and a valid email address.
  • The ability to view and store PDF files.

Keeping your contact details current

Signing notifications are sent by email. If your email address changes during a transaction, inform the document sender so requests reach you.
